Residents and visitors are being reminded to display a valid ticket at all times when using car parks across Wyre Forest.
Wyre Forest District Council will be introducing a free ticket system in its car parks which must be displayed during free parking initiatives across the district.
By displaying a free ticket you will help the Council measure how popular free parking schemes are, helping to gather valuable data about take up and usage.
When taking advantage of free parking schemes, customers need only to obtain a free ticket from the machine and display as normal. The free ticket is only valid during the allocated days and times.
Free parking initiatives are available in each of the three towns. On a Wednesday, Bromsgrove Street car park in Kidderminster is free from 10am – 4pm. Gardners Meadow car park in Bewdley and Severn Meadows 1 in Stourport also offer free parking from 10am – 4pm on a Thursday.
Revised parking charges in Wyre Forest District Council car parks will be implemented from Monday 5 October 2015. These have been limited to only a small number of car parks.
Councillor Ian Hardiman, Wyre Forest District Council’s Cabinet Member for Operational Services said:
“We are pleased to offer free parking for residents and visitors. By introducing a free ticket scheme, we can learn and build on the success of our existing free parking initiatives. Don’t forget to get your free ticket from the machine on allocated days and times and display it clearly in your vehicle.”
Wyre Forest District Council is once again offering free parking for the festive season. Free parking will be available in Council car parks after 4.00pm from Saturday 14 November through to Sunday 10 January inclusive.
This free festive parking offer runs in conjunction with all other schemes.
A list of revised car parking charges will be available on our website on Thursday 1 October. For more information and details about car parks in Wyre Forest please visit www.wyreforestdc.gov.uk/parking.
