Stourport-On-Severn’s team managed to defend their title at the annual Wyre Forest Parish and Town quiz event on Tuesday 17 March. The evening had a great turn out with a total of 7 teams battling for the £50 prize.

Stourport-On-Severn, Churchill and Blakedown and Rock and Upper Arley were neck and neck throughout. A total of 9 rounds were led by quizmaster Tony Powell covering a variety of subjects including history, sport, music and more.Town Parish Quiz

Stourport-On-Severn managed to take a short lead and secured victory finishing on 96. Joint second was awarded to Upper Arley and Churchill and Blakedown with 95 points. Rock came in 4th place with 83 points, Kidderminster in 5th with 81 points and Bewdley in 6th place with 72 points. Finishing last was Wolverley and Cookley with 57 points.

The winners, Stourport-On-Severn were presented with a shield and a cheque for £50 which will go the Town Council towards a community initiative.

Amy Smith, Wyre Forest District Council’s Leisure Development Officer said:
