A4+2015CELEBRATE+SUMMER++copyBrinton Park will play host to a brand new free event on Sunday 21 June called Celebrate Summer Party in the Park.

Enjoy an afternoon and evening of live music and entertainment from 2:30pm until 9pm thanks to Wyre Forest District Council.

This free event will feature Proms in the Park from 3pm – 5pm with a live performance from acclaimed Soprano, Elizabeth Macdonald.

Sing along with popular prom tunes ‘Rule Britannia’, ‘I Vow To Thee, My Country’, ‘Pomp and Circumstance’ and many more songs from operas and musicals. Don’t forget to bring your flags and join the fun!

There will be food and refreshments available to purchase throughout the day. The Little Pack Horse will be providing a licensed bar. Hickman’s of Kidderminster have also kindly donated the use of a stage.

From 5:45pm – 6:45pm, Rock and Pop band ‘Blame Kenny’ will be on stage. Back by popular demand, Soul and R&B band ‘Blind Lemon’ will be on stage from 7:15pm – 8:45pm and will be closing the show.

Councillor Sally Chambers, Wyre Forest District Council’s Cabinet Member for Health, Well-being and Housing said:

“There’s lots going on in the area this summer and this event is perfect for the whole family. Come and enjoy a free day out in one of our best parks and open spaces. There will be arts and craft stalls, children’s rides, good quality refreshments and much more!”

Staff from Wyre Forest District Council will be hosting a corporate road show at this event, promoting everything going on in the district and answering any queries you may have.
