Anyone looking for a new car should visit the Green Home Show at Kidderminster Town Hall this Saturday (24 January), where the latest models of electric vehicles are being showcased.
Leading car manufacturers, Nissan and Mitsubishi will be demonstrating the electric cars. Visitors can see and hear how they work and find out about the range available and running costs.
Independent experts from Cenex, the UK’s first centre of excellence for low carbon and fuel cell technologies, will also be on hand to answer any questions. It is the perfect opportunity to find out about the electrical vehicles on offer and discover the network of charging points across the Midlands.
Keith Budden, a representative from Cenex stated:
“Electric cars are now widely available, cheap to use and great fun to drive. This event provides the perfect chance to have a look at the new technologies that will make our lives easier, cleaner and cheaper in the years to come.”
A series of hybrid cars will also be on offer and bookings will be taken for test drives on the day.
Councillor Anne Hingley, Wyre Forest District Council’s Cabinet Member for Health, Well-being and Housing said:
“The Green Home Show has plenty to offer this January. If you have a few hours to spare this Saturday, take a trip down to Kidderminster Town Hall and see these fantastic electrical cars for yourself! There will lots of other things on offer too ranging from the latest green gadgets and heating systems. There will also be 100 free goodie bags for the first 100 visitors!”
