More than 2,000 Mamma Mia fans turned out to sing I do, I do, I do, on Saturday at Brinton Park, Kidderminster.
This is the second outdoor cinema experience organised by Wyre Forest District Council and it was a big hit for families and friends alike.
Local residents arrived in style ready to dance the night away dressed up as characters from the film or as a member of Abba. The event hosted live music and entertainment from 5pm before Mamma Mia was shown on the 40ft screen.
Local singing duo Sadie Owen and Zoe Fuller warmed up the crowd with a medley of Abba Hits followed by singer and songwriter, Elisha Green.
Visitors were then invited to join a Zumba session with fitness instructor Hannah Yardley in an Abba-themed extravaganza. The fancy dress competition was a proven success with several residents showing off their creative and show-stopping outfits.
A surprise flash mob was performed by Splinters Dance School who burst into performance and dazzled the crowd with a unique performance just minutes before the viewing.
Councillor Anne Hingley, Cabinet Member for Heath, Well-Being and Housing at Wyre Forest District Council said:
“It was a lovely evening which gathered a large part of the community together. People were able to enjoy picnics and an evening of wonderful entertainment from young local talent. This free event is perfect for the whole family and we are already working on plans for next year.”
