The Council is preparing a Design Guidance Supplementary Planning Document (SPD). This document will provide detailed guidance for new developments within our District to help ensure we deliver good quality places.
In particular it sets out how the Council’s design policies in its Local Plan documents should be interpreted and applied. It will replace the existing Design Guidance Supplementary Planning Guidance which dates from 2004.
An Early Engagement consultation was undertaken at the beginning of the year giving stakeholders and other interested parties the opportunity to shape the content and format of the new document.
The responses received to this earlier consultation have helped to inform this draft version. You can view the Draft Design Guidance SPD at the Worcestershire Hub in Kidderminster Town Hall and at any of the District’s three libraries.
It can also be viewed online, where you can find further details and download a response form. The consultation closes at 5pm on Friday 12 December 2014 and we would welcome your comments.
