Stourport Town Centre will be glowing with festive spirit on Friday 21 November for the annual Christmas light switch on.
Accompanying the town’s Christmas illuminations will be the Three Kings Parade which will assemble from 5:30pm in the car park behind the Civic Centre (Martins Way) and will commence at 6:00pm.
The parade will finish outside the Civic Hall at approximately 6:30pm where the final illuminations will be lit and carols sung.
A craft fair is also being held at the newly refurbished Civic Hall, organised by the Civic Group between 5pm and 9pm. Seasonal refreshments will be available to buy.
Councillor Anne Hingley, Wyre Forest District Council’s Cabinet Member for Health, Well-being and Housing said:
“The Three Kings parade is a fantastic way to mark the beginning of the Christmas season. There really is something for everyone and we hope local residents join us for a wonderful evening.”
The route of the parade will travel through the town via Raven Street, Bridge Street, High Street, Mitton Street, Lion Hill, York Street, New Street and will return to Martins Way car park and the Civic Hall.
