Kidderminster will spring to life this Christmas with street theatre entertainment, Santa in his grotto and a street market with Christmas themed stalls.
From Saturday 13 December, you can find Father Christmas in his grotto outside the old Woolworths store in Kidderminster between 11am – 2pm. Santa will be there on a daily basis until Saturday 20 December.
Kidderminster’s street market will take place in and around the town centre on Saturday 20 December until Christmas Eve (Wednesday 24 December). Visitors can finish off the last of their Christmas shopping in style whilst watching the unique entertainment on offer, thanks to Wyre Forest District Council.
Don’t miss the fantastically fabulous Panto Dames who will be let loose on Vicar Street, High Street and Worcester Street on Saturday 20 December between 12 – 3:30pm.
Vamos Theatre will be returning to Kidderminster during the festive season following their recent appearance at KAF (Kidderminster Arts Festival) in the summer. Their Christmas walkabout act will bring fun and frivolity to Kidderminster Town Centre between 12 – 3pm on Monday 22 December.
Listen out for Jelly Rollers musical rendition of the Dickensian Ding Dong who will stroll through the streets of Kidderminster bellowing familiar sounds of the festive season.
The street entertainment will continue to liven up the surroundings of the town centre on Tuesday 23 December. Visitors should look out for several Christmas puddings and bauble decorations travelling around on roller skates between 12 – 3pm.

Shoppers will also benefit from free evening parking once again this festive period. From Saturday 15 November until Sunday 11 January (inclusive) the Council is making parking free in its car parks after 4.00pm.
The free evening parking offer is as well as the weekly free parking offers. Bromsgrove Street Car Park in Kidderminster is free on Wednesdays between 10.00am – 4.00pm. Dog Lane Car Park in Bewdley and Severn Meadows 1 (behind the Civic Centre) in Stourport-on-Severn are free on Thursdays between 10.00am – 4.00pm. This means on certain days visitors can park for free all day from 10.00am.
