Christmas Light Switch On Kidderminster (1)Join the festive fun at this year’s Christmas light switch on held outside Kidderminster Town Hall on Saturday 15 November.

Enjoy a variety of entertainment from 1:30pm including the BBC Hereford and Worcester Road Show, U2 Tribute Band, Pop duo Sadie Owen and Zoe Fuller, singer/songwriter, Ellisha Green, Winterfold School Band and the Groove Diggers.

The lights will be switched on at 4:45pm by the Mayor of Kidderminster and the Kidderminster Shuttle’s Competition Winners, Daisy and Ava Field. Kidderminster Rock Choir performing to the crowds afterwards.

Father Christmas will also be making a special appearance between 3:30pm-4pm to spread the spirit of Christmas. Mulled wine and turkey and stuffing sandwiches will also be available to buy.

Councillor Anne Hingley, Wyre Forest District Council’s Cabinet Member for Health, Well-being and Housing said:

“The Christmas light switch on brings friends and families together and sets the scene for a jolly Christmas. It is definitely a highlight of the season and should not be missed.”

Shoppers will benefit from free evening parking once again this festive period. From Saturday 15 November until Sunday 11 January (inclusive) the Council is making parking free in its car parks after 4.00pm.

The free evening parking offer is as well as the weekly free parking offers.  Bromsgrove Street Car Park in Kidderminster is free on Wednesdays between 10.00am – 4.00pm.
