The final tranche of financial support for businesses affected by the winter flooding (between 1 December 2013 – 28 February 2014) is now available from Wyre Forest District Council.
Businesses that were not directly flooded or completely cut off, yet suffered significant loss of trade due to circumstances beyond their control such as road closures, are able to apply for a loss of trade grant of up to £500 funded through the Government’s Business Support Scheme.
Affected businesses that claim to have suffered significant loss of trade should submit their application, available through Wyre Forest District Council’s website, by 13 June 2014.
Linda Collis, Wyre Forest District Council’s Director of Community Wellbeing and Environment said
“There is still time for businesses that were affected by the recent flooding to apply for financial support, so we urge any businesses in Wyre Forest that think they may be eligible to get in touch by 13 June. If there is any funding available after all applications have been processed, the Council intends to support promotional and business improvement activities within the affected areas.”
