National bike week is held annually to promote cycling and its health and lifestyle benefits. On the Thursday 19 June Wyre Forest District Council’s Sustainability Team will be outside Kidderminster Town Hall handing out free walking and cycle maps and giving out vouchers for a free bottle of water and money off healthy meals at Wyre Forest House Cafe.
The cafe, within Wyre Forest House at Finepoint Way, Kidderminster sits between cycle routes 54 and 45 on the walking and cycling map, so why not make a healthy pit stop when you are out and about. The vouchers are valid from 23 - 27 June and entitle the holder to 50p off any food purchase, excluding confectionary and beverages. The vouchers also entitle the holder to a free bottle of water until 18 July 2014, no purchase necessary.
The Green Ape company will be on hand to help you create delicious smoothies using pedal power on a special static bike.
Councillor Marcus Hart, Leader of Wyre Forest District Council said:
“Bike week is a reminder to get out and explore the local cycling routes and possibly cycle somewhere you haven’t seen before in the district.”
