The enforcement team was out in force recently talking to residents and visitors in Bewdley. The roadshow was parked in Severnside South where enforcement officers were promoting a clamp down on dog fouling campaign.
Passers-by were happy to stop and chat, read the literature and take advantage of the free 'poop scoop bags' that the enforcement team had been donated and were giving away. People were keen to talk about problem areas and some gave information about people that regularly left their dog mess behind. These reports will be followed up.
Councillor Helen Dyke, Wyre Forest District Council’s Cabinet Member for Operational Services joined the roadshow and said
“As a local Councillor, I get issues around dog fouling reported to me on a regular basis so it is great to see that we as a council are taking positive action with this campaign to work with local residents to address their concerns.”
The campaign featuring the wanted poster will carry on through August and on Thursday 28 August the roadshow will be outside Kidderminster Town Hall.
