Evidence suggests there are five steps we can all take to improve our mental wellbeing. If you give them a try, you may feel happier, more positive and able to get the most from life.

Throughout 2018, we’ll be promoting the Five Ways to Wellbeing in Wyre Forest.


Connect...with the people around you. With family, friends, colleagues and neighbours. At home, work, school or in your local community. Think of these as the cornerstones of your life and invest time in developing them. Building these connections will support and enrich you every day. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

Wednesday 7th February- Moodmaster Taster session  6.30pm- 7.30pm

MoodMaster aims to provide a fun, upbeat approach to working on your emotional wellbeing. Come for yourself, or come for someone else. Learn simple & straightforward techniques that will help you to deal better with situations that cause you worry and stress or bring your mood down. Refreshments available. Saturday 10th February- Kidderminster Greener Living Fair 10.30am- 2.30pm

Connect with your environment and find out about local organisations and community groups, sustainable living, volunteering opportunities and sewing workshops. A fun and educational family friendly event. At Kidderminster Town Hall. See www.wyreforestdc.gov.uk/greenerlivingfair

Saturday 17th February- Release the fairies from the trees! 10-11am

Come and join the Rangers to make your own fairy door and release the fairies from the trees!  Equipment needed to make the doors will be supplied. 

Arrive between 10am-11am to pick up your materials needed and place your door somewhere in the woods. Photograph and tag your picture on facebook with the chance to win a prize.

Saturday 23th March Come and CONNECT with nature! Meet at 10am

Help the rangers to restore the local lowland heathland, a threatened habitat which has been recently highlighted as being of particular global importance. 90% has gone. Help remove invasive species and help do your bit to conserve the local environment.

Meet at Blackstone Picnic Place, off A456 Bewdley by-pass, DY12 1PU. No charge.
