Right to Reclaim Land - Green Spaces

The Community Right to Reclaim Land will help communities improve their local area by making information about land owned by public bodies more easily available and help to ensure that under-used or unused land owned by public bodies and some other organisations is brought back into beneficial use. See Community Right to Reclaim Land webpage.

A demonstator map is available on communities.gov.uk to provide citizens with information about publicly owned land and buildings in their local area.

Under this improved system for requesting the sale of land through the Public Request to Order Disposal, anyone can send a request to the Secretary of State setting out why they think land or property covered by the Request process is under-used or vacant and why it should be disposed of to enable it to be brought back into use.
