Localism in Wyre Forest

Wyre Forest District Council Localism Fund

Find out more about the Localism Fund for 2017-18

We are committed to working with local people and groups to deliver sustainable and effective services for the benefit of the community.

‘Love to get involved’ is part of the Localism Agenda and is receptive to local influence and your ideas!

We want to share our thinking and engage in an ongoing conversation with individuals, organisations and partners about how together we can make Localism work in Wyre Forest.

We want to hear from groups or residents who would like to involve themselves in their own area, either in the delivery of local services or instigating/participating in local projects or sharing ideas.

We are actively working with groups on local initiatives and developing ways in which we can enable local people and community groups to develop and/or take ownership of assets or services.

We are committed to take a ‘can-do’ approach with all your ideas and initiatives wherever this can deliver more by communities for communities.

Community groups and other organisations are often eligible for funding to help with projects and our “Love to get involved” web page gives details of groups, ideas, initiatives and current funding opportunities in Wyre Forest.

Wyre Forest is working closely with Worcestershire County Council who have adopted an ‘Act Local’ Policy, and also Parish and District Councils in the provision of services, see Localism and local councils.
