Council Performance

Performance

The performance of Wyre Forest District Council affects the whole community – our residents, local businesses, visitors and partners.  It is therefore important that the Council is open and accountable about its performance.

The Council aims to deliver public services which meet the needs of the community and provide value for money.

How we manage our performance is set out in the Council's Performance Management Framework (63K).  This includes making sure our data is high quality and fit for purpose as set out in our Data Quality Policy. (153K)

Corporate Plan

The Council's Corporate Plan sets out our strategic direction and priorities for 2011-14.

It builds on the achievements of the previous plan for 2008-11 and draws from the Sustainable Community Strategy ‘Making a Real Difference 2008–2014’ produced by the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) Wyre Forest Matters.

The Plan sets out the Council’s Vision and Values, together with our agreed priorities for improvement, what action we will be taking and how we will measure our success.

We have agreed three Priorities which represent what we want to achieve for the social, economic and environmental well-being of the District. They are:

  • Securing the economic prosperity of the district
  • Delivering together, with less
  • Improving community well-being

Performance Monitoring

The Council has a number of processes in place to monitor our performance including:

  • Council Priorities - as set out in the Corporate Plan and refreshed annually with Actions to taken to over the coming year.
  • Directorate Business Plans - produced annually by each of the four Directorates to guide business activity at services level.
  • Performance indicators - including statutory and locally set indicators to measure specific service functions.

Viewpoint Survey

A number of performance indicators are collected through a survey called the Viewpoint Survey. These indicators capture local people’s views, experiences and perceptions about the local area, as well as measuring satisfaction with the services provided by the Council and other local service providers.
