Parking Restrictions

It is the responsibility of the driver to ensure that the vehicle is parked in accordance with the parking regulations. The terms of the car parks are clearly stated on the Notice Board within the car park itself and the Highway Code will help to verify many on street parking regulations.

Motorists are encouraged to check the surrounding area for road markings and signs before leaving the vehicle. This will ensure that the vehicle is parked in accordance with the parking regulations at all times.

Car Parks

The notice board in the car park will clarify the conditions of use. Please see below for some of the off street parking regulations in the Wyre Forest area.

Parking in a marked bay - Please ensure that the vehicle is parked wholly within the markings of a bay. Parking over two bays or parking in an area of the car park which has not been designed to accommodate vehicles may cause considerable inconvenience or cause a safety hazard to other motorists.

Pay & display ticket - A valid pay and display ticket is required for permitted parking in the car parks. The pay and display ticket must be purchased on arrival and must be clearly and correctly displayed in the windscreen. Motorists are advised to have sufficient change available when entering a pay and display car park.

Expired pay & display tickets - Please ensure that the vehicle is removed from the car park before the expiry time on the pay and display ticket. If you are unsure how long you will need to park in the car park, motorists are encouraged to purchase a longer parking time to avoid any unexpected delays.

Designated motorcycle and coach bays - These bays have been designed to accommodate motorcycles or coaches only. The bays are clearly marked to stipulate the permitted vehicle. Parking is free for motorcycles and coaches have to pay three times the relevant amount on the tariff board.

On Street Parking

Always check the surrounding area for signs and road markings before leaving the vehicle. Please see below for some of the on street parking regulations in the Wyre Forest area.

Yellow lines - Parking is not permitted on single or on double yellow lines during the hours of restriction unless continuous loading and unloading is taking place or a passenger is boarding or alighting a vehicle. The vehicle must not be causing an obstruction and must be parked safely if loading and unloading is taking place. Loading and unloading is not permitted on yellow lines if a loading ban is in place. Always check the street signs for clarification.

The Civil Enforcement Officers will observe a vehicle that is parked on yellow lines to ensure that loading or unloading is taking place or a passenger is boarding or alighting the vehicle. If no activity is observed, a Penalty Charge Notice will be issued.

Limited waiting bays - These bays are limited to a particular length of time during the hours of operation. Please check the sign for details.

Goods vehicle loading bays -These bays are designed to accommodate goods vehicles only. The sign will clearly stipulate the times of operation and the duration of permitted parking. All vehicles that are not classed as a goods vehicle should expect to receive a Penalty Charge Notice.

Resident parking bays - These bays are for the use of residents only. The resident must clearly display a valid permit on the dashboard when using the parking benefits of the resident parking bays. Vehicles that are parked in a resident only parking bay without clearly displaying a valid permit should expect to receive a Penalty Charge Notice.

Motorcycle bays - Motorcycle bays must remain available for motorcycles only. Any vehicle that has parked in a motorcycle bay that is not classed as a motorcycle should expect to receive a Penalty Charge Notice.

Please be aware that if your vehicle is parked in contravention of the parking regulations, you should expect to receive a Penalty Charge Notice.
