What we do
Members of the Cycling Forum work to raise the public’s

cyclists is convenient and safe to use. Projects in which the Forum
has been actively involved include:

Cycle Strategy
(2.33MB), which identifies a prioritised cycle route
network for the District. Please also see the progress
monitoring report for Wyre Forest Cycling Strategy
(2.41MB) and Wyre Forest
District Annual Monitoring Report
- Promotion of annual National Bike Week and Travelwise Week
events.
- Advice to the Highways Agency on cycle infrastructure along
local trunk roads (A449/A456)
- Advice to Worcestershire County Council on local advisory cycle
lanes along Bewdley Hill, Franche Road and Habberley Lane,
Kidderminster.
- Implementation of popular cycle route along the Staffordshire
& Worcestershire Canal towpath linking the two towns
Stourport-on-Severn and Kidderminster.
- Helping to identify suitable sites for mountain biking in the
area.
