Role of Section
The Role of the Transport Section is to procure, service and
maintain the Authority's fleet of vehicles in line with the Front
Line needs for delivery of services, to meet the standards required
to match the Council's Vision for Wyre Forest District.
The Transport Section is also required to ensure that all vehicles
conform to the Legal Standards as laid down by The Vehicle and
Operator Services Agency.
We will...
- Provide an effective garaging and vehicle maintenance service
in order to maintain in-house operations to the highest
standards.
- Operate a commercial service to local key agencies and local
businesses.
- Carry out all works using qualified and trained staff.
- Adhere to all legislative guidance and regulations.
- Carry out procurement in accordance with Best Value
principles.
- Operate responsible policies and working methods with regard to
sustainability and contribute towards lowering impact on the
environment.
