External Funding
By working together, Wyre Forest in 2014 will be a
prosperous district where everyone can thrive at work and at play,
at home and in the community, and can learn and develop throughout
their lives in a safe, attractive and healthy environment.
Community Strategy Vision April 2004
Wyre Forest District Council uses its influence to promote and
improve the economic, social and environmental well being of the
district in the best interests and for the greatest benefit of all
present and future inhabitants, residents, businesses and
visitors.
The Council is increasingly dependent on securing funding from
sources other than its own budgets to meet priorities and those of
the community. This trend is set to continue with an increasing
reliance on partnerships, exemplified by the role of Wyre Forest
Local Strategic Partnership, Wyre Forest Matters.
The Community Strategy Vision adopted by Wyre Forest Matters is the
aspiration that is motivating Wyre Forest District Council and its
partners to improve the district, and this is where the need for
external funding becomes paramount.
The District Council monitors the external funding it receives
for projects in the District.
