Food Poisoning - Investigation
The Council's Food Team is involved in the investigation of
outbreaks of food poisoning and other infectious diseases, which
are notified by G.P.s, hospitals etc. This work is aimed at
controlling and preventing the spread of these illnesses. If you
suspect you are suffering from food poisoning, contact your G.P.
and submit a faecal sample.
You may also wish to
report your food
poisoning occurance to the Food Team via Worcestershire
Hub.
You will need to provide the following information:
- Date that your symptoms occurred
- Type of symptoms
- Details of food eaten over the previous 5 days before the
symptoms started
- Details of places where food was consumed
- Details of foreign travel and places visited
