Land Use Constraints
Often there can be statutory designations and directions for areas
of land which act as a further constraint on the way land can be
used and developed, some of these are listed below:
- Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – a statutory national
landscape designation, the primary purpose of which is to conserve
and enhance natural beauty. AONBs are designated by Natural England
and represent the nation’s
finest landscapes. There are no AONB designations in the Wyre
Forest district.
- Article 4 Direction – a Direction made under Article 4 of the
Town & Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order
1995 which can be issued by the Council to remove some or all
permitted development in an area. There are no Article 4
directions in the Wyre Forest district.
- Article 3 Restriction on Permitted Development - Permitted
Development refers to the permission to carry out certain limited
forms of development set out in the Town & Country Planning
(General Permitted Development) Order 1995 Schedule 2, for which an
application to the Council is not required. Article 3 of the
Town & Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order
1995, however, sets out some general restrictions to permitted
development rights set out in Schedule 2.
