Safety at Sports Grounds
Public awareness of safety at sports grounds has been heightened in
recent years, giving rise nationally to the demand for more and
more attention from Local Authorites.
Wyre Forest District Building Control provides a comprehensive
inspection service to all sports grounds within the district. This
is undertaken in association with the Fire Authority and for larger
venues, the Police, who together form a Safety Team.
All sports ground owners and event organisers are advised to notify
Building Control when planned events are likely to take place and
in particular when they may attract above average crowds.
