Service Standards - Civic Halls
Kidderminster Town Hall and Stourport Civic Hall
The Civic Halls are important venues within the Wyre Forest
District, ideally suited for concerts, amateur musicals, drama
groups, exhibitions, lectures and meetings and many more
uses. The broad range of events and activities are promoted
through a quarterly “What’s On” guide which is also available on
the Council’s website.
A grant aid scheme is available to give financial support to groups
and organisations, who hold charitable status. The venue
holds a “premises licence” a “theatre licence” and “performing
rights society”.
The bar facilities are provided under an agreement with “Bars on
the run” until March 2012.
- We will promote the facilities and manage the bookings,
offering attractive venues in a safe and friendly environment.
- We will provide friendly and experienced employees who will be
trained in Health and Safety.We will advise all “hirers” of our
booking procedures and conditions of hire and make the necessary
documentation available, together with current hire charges.
- We will carry out briefing sessions for all “security and
stewards” as relevant.
- We will carry out regular consultation with our “hirers” and
our “users” and wherever possible, meet their needs and
requests.
- We will facilitate and encourage a wide range of events and
activities to appeal to the residents and visitors of the Wyre
Forest District.
- We will work within the guidelines of all local authority
policies and legislation
- We are committed to the Council’s “Safeguarding Children”
policy and all staff members are screened by the Criminal Records
Bureau and undergo training and awareness
- We will actively support community services and community based
activities
