Coach Development
Wyre Forest District Council, together with the Sports
Partnership Herefordshire and Worcestershire, provide a number of
training courses for sports coaches and volunteers to further their
professional development.

Wyre Forest Club Forum - Gain valuable
knowledge in up to date safeguarding policies, available coaching
and funding opportunities and how best to apply for them and meet
the Sports Development Team.

Safeguarding Children - Protect yourself, the
young people you are coaching and your employer by understanding
and following good practice. Learn about the different forms of
child abuse and how to handle situations if you have concerns. |

Equality - Everyone should have access to
sport, regardless of gender, age, race, ability, faith or sexual
orientation. As a coach you have an important role to play in
ensuring this happens. This workshop will help you to apply and
extend your skills to meet the needs of present and potential
participants. |

A Club for All - The Club for All workshop
outlines how your club can benefit from reaching all members of the
community and explains how to reach out to them. These groups
include; young people, older people, those on low incomes, disabled
people and those from ethnic minorities |

First Aid - This 3 hour Emergency First Aid
course is delivered by the West Midlands Ambulance Service and
covers the basic first aid requirements for a coach/leader or club
member. |
