Play Day Stourport 2011
The annual celebration of children's right to play!
The lovely sunny day bought out hundreds of families to Playday
Stourport on the 3rd August where everyone enjoyed a fun
packed afternoon.
The event just grows and develops every year as it becomes part
of the annual Wyre Forest District Council’s calendar.

Children were able to take on the ultimate challenge of walking
on water with the giant inflatable water balls. |
 |
Serious thrill seekers could see the park from a very different
perspective somersaulting to dizzying heights on the bungee
trampolines or scaling the mobile climbing wall. |
 |
The Circus School thrilled children and parents alike,
challenging balance and coordination with expert tuition from
unicyclist Steve Kaos.
|
 |
The Harriers Football Community Scheme came along again and
organised games all day for those young football enthusiasts.
For those children who love arts and crafts – imaginations ran
wild with our cardboard town, complete with houses, shops, church,
airport and harbour!
|
 |
Children were able to design their t-shirts and then wear them
with pride, paint the big art playday board or the big paint by
numbers posters.
|
 |
We also had a toy swop shop stand where children could bring a
toy or game to exchange – which was very popular.
|
 |
Our sports team organised fun and wacky races for children and
parents and the afternoon saw many parents wearing their medals
with pride! Our resident dance instructor held street dance
workshops for all ages to join in.
|
 |
Our play leaders organised games and activities and children
were able to play tri-golf, swingball, connect 4, parachute games
and much more - activities were accessible for all at Wyre Forest
Playday this summer
