On the final day of KAF10 (Kidderminster Arts
Festival), the subways between Comberton Hill and Worcester street
underwent a major transformation, with some of the country's top
street artists coming to Kidderminster to paint their masterpieces
on the walls of two of the towns underpasses. From a dirty, dark
and intimidating environment, artists, volunteers and onlookers
were amazed as the tiled walls turned into walk-through galleries
with sumptuous flock wallpaper and guilt framed masterpieces.

The project was made possible by funding from
The Rewyre Initiative, base coats painted by Community Pay-Back
Service, production support from KAF and co-ordination by Dom
Dunlea of KAF Creatives and an army of stencil cutting and spray
painting volunteers. The project was also endorsed by the
County Highways Department who own the subway.

This was the first major project completed by KAF Creatives and
it was a huge success. The subway is a place normally to be
avoided but on the 28th of August it was alive with
colour, and buzzing with enthusiastic people amazed at what was
going on there. Local people are still talking about the work
and it has an active facebook page.
