Amongst the early projects the Arts Development section were involved in was the commissioning of an interpretive map of the basins, local fine artist Kate Wrigglesworth was recruited to undertake the work.

Kate worked with local community groups, which included Stourport Civic Society, St Michael's Scout Group, a girls group from Stourport Youth Centre and local residents, to find out about Stourport and what it means to them.

Waterways Logo As a result of this community consultation, Kate produced a beautifully illustrated map compiling all the special features of the basins including local historic information as well as nostalgic anecdotes from local residents.
