St GEorges Park Project People with banners Wyre Forest District Council, the Horsefair, Broadwaters and Greenhill Partnership and local community groups are undertaking a series of events and activities designed to change local perception of the park to make everyone feel safe when they are in the park and develop the 'sense of place'. The shelter project has been funded by the Local Faith leaders from a grant received from Worcestershire County Council called ‘Positive Activities for Young People Fund’.
st georges art work Young people from King Charles School worked with artist Mark Stammer to create artwork for the walls of a shelter next to the children’s playground in St Georges Park, Kidderminster. The artwork celebrates the cultural diversity of the local area and it is hoped that it will encourage the use of the shelter by children and young people.
