Broadwaters Mill Artwork
A Partnership has been established with The Friends of Broadwaters
Park. Together we are making improvements to the park including
installing artwork into the Mill.
| A new sign has been made and placed at the entrance to the
Park. It was partly funded by the Childrens Fund, made by
blacksmith Steve Cooper and painted by the Friends of Broadwaters
Park. |

We have recently worked with the local Scout Group and the Rainbows
Parent and Toddler group to create giant fish to decorate the roof
space. Working with artists Jo and Kate DeBurgh, the fish are made
from Perspex and recycled plastics and suspended from the
ceiling.
The children from St. Oswalds Church Centre 'Fun Factory' - after
school club - and the Friends of Broadwaters Park joined forces to
paint the inside of the Mill with stencilled fish.
The installation incorporates state of the art lighting which
gradually throws colour washes over the inside of the building. The
lighting uses LED lights which use less power than conventional
lights.
Sadly, because of vandalism the plastic fish are no longer in
the roof space. We are planning a new project later in the year to
replace them with something new.
