Who carries out the Local Land Charges search?
Search requests are usually received from the Solicitor or
Licensed Conveyancer acting for the purchaser of a
property.
Personal search companies and members of the public can inspect
records to provide answers to search questions; however these are
the responsibility of the searcher and are not covered by the
Council's guarantee.
Search forms are available from Legal stationers or a quick form can be downloaded from
this web site.
What area do you cover?
We cover the area inside the Wyre Forest District Council
boundary.
How can I be sure that a property lies within the Wyre Forest
District Council boundary?
If you do not have access to a suitable plan, telephone our office
and we will endeavour to help you.
How long will it take to process my search?
One working day following acceptance.
All Searches will be returned via email, please provide an
email address on the search.
Do I need to send you any plans of the property?
Yes. We require an A4 size plan with the property to be
searched on clearly outlined in red.
Can I ask additional questions?
You may wish to consider asking additional questions. These need to
be directed to the individual divisions in a separate letter. It is
advisable to telephone the division prior to the letter and
establish the correct fee required. Planning and Environmental

What is a Personal Search?
A Personal Search is an inspection of the Local Land Charges
Register. It will provide you with information similar to that
of an LLC1 request but its content is your own responsibility and
its accuracy is not guaranteed by the Council.
Appointments are available daily after 2pm and we require
24 hours notice.To request an appointment please send an email to
personal.searches@wyreforestdc.gov.uk.
Please submit a plan with the property outlined in red and the
address clearly written on the plan. We will confirm the
appointment by return email.
What is a Local Authority Search?
A Local Authority Search is a full search of the Local Land Charges
Register together with answers to questions on a CON29
form.
This full search also comes with the assurance and insurance that
all responses have been investigated and authenticated by the Local
Authority signed by the Proper Officer.

Will the road information reply tell me if all the roads abutting
my property are adopted?
A search reply will only refer to the road named in the property
address given in Box B on the CON29 form. If you wish to have
information regarding any other roads that abut your property you
will need to name them in Box C and clearly mark them on your
search plan.
Can Land Charges tell me who owns a certain property or piece of
land?
No. You will need to make application to:
