Homelessness and Housing Advice
Service Provided
Housing legislation places various duties on local authorities
to house homeless people in priority need and to provide advice and
assistance to those not in priority need.
The management of the District Council's homelessness service is
contracted out to
Wyre
Forest Community Housing who will offer an interview and full
advice service.
The District Council only has an obligation to help people who are
eligible for assistance. People who may not be eligible for
assistance are people from abroad with limits to their right to
stay in the country and people who are seeking asylum.
Clarification can be sought from Wyre Forest Community
Housing.
