Housing Advice and Homelessness

The Community Housing Group
provide housing advice and assistance to people throughout the
district, including those in priority need. They manage a
waiting list for applicants who are seeking rented housing or low
cost home ownership.
Properties are allocated by a system called Home
Choice Plus a common allocations scheme which operates
across the six districts of Wyre Forest, Malvern Hills, Wychavon,
Redditch, Worcester City and Bromsgrove. This allows a
single access point for people to search for social housing
across the region. The
allocations policy explains how the system works and how
applicants are banded according to levels of need and local
connection.
Homelessness
The Council's homelessness service is also run
by Wyre Forest Community Housing who will offer a
full interview
and advice service. For general enquiries they can
be contacted on 0800 169 0933 and their emergency out of hours
contact number is 01562 850053.
