Health and Safety at Work

Wyre Forest District Council’s Health and Safety team try to make sure that people working in the district are aware of health and safety hazards.

Our objective is to help you to reduce the likelihood of accidents and dangerous occurrences.

Using the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 as our guide we provide advice and training to:
  • employers,
  • employees and
  • the general public.

Building Control Safety

Wyre Forest District Council Building Control yeam are empowered to act, in the interest of health and safety, where it appears that buildings or structures are in a dangerous condition.

If you are the owner of the property causing concern, you are expected to arrange for the removal of the danger.

 

Needles and Syringes

If a needle or syringe is found discarded in a park or open space and it cannot be removed safely, ring the Council as soon as possible and we will come out and remove it as a matter of priority.
