Fly Posting

Fly posting is the term used when someone puts posters or adverts on either public property or other people’s private property. It is an illegal and anti-social activity that creates a negative impression of an area and contributes to people’s fear of crime. Those that are responsible for it or benefit from it can be prosecuted.

What will the Council will do?

Wyre Forest District Council will remove fly posters where they have been placed on its own property and street furniture. The Council will also take action against any company that has fly posting carried out on its behalf or that carries out fly posting on council property and street furniture.

The Council can issue £75 fixed penalty notices to such offenders.

How can I report fly posting?
