Collection Day Changes

For most properties in the Wyre Forest, your recycling will be collected from a 240 litre green wheelie bin.

All items for recycling can be placed in the green bin which will be collected fortnightly on alternate weeks with your rubbish bin.

If you're unsure of which day your bin is collected you can check your bin collection day online

If you're not sure what you can and can't recycle you can view the recycling information guide pdf logo(1.01MB) or refer to our Recycling A-Z for advice on where to recycle common household items.

Contamination
Recycling is EASY!

Service Disruptions

Contamination

Please do not put your recycling in plastic bags or bin liners in your green bin. Plastic bags cannot be recycled through your green bin and anything contained within a plastic bag will be rejected at the recycling sorting plant to landfill.

Our crews will not empty bins that contain bagged waste or waste that is not recyclable* - please refer to your Recycling Guide pdf logo (1.01MB) for more information. If your bin has had a yellow contamination tag put on it please remove the contamination and present your bin again on your next collection day. Crews will not return to empty bins that were not emptied because of contamination.

* Even if an item has a recycling symbol on it it does not mean it can be recycled in Wyre Forest; different areas have different facilities for recycling.

Foil Recycling & Plastic Bottle Tops

We would like to remind residents that clean foil and foil trays can be recycled through dedicated foil recycling banks, serviced by Go Green Recycling, as well as through can collection banks located around the district.

We cannot accept small plastic bottle tops for recycling through your green bin

  foil recycling

Please remove them and recycle them at Go Green Recycling - they have a collection bank outside their building on New Street, Kidderminster.

For bank locations, see our Recycling Centres page.
