Tree and Woodland Management

Over the last 2 years the Council has been carrying out a full inventory of the all the trees and woodlands within the parks and open spaces. The purpose of this survey is to establish the overall condition of the tree population within the District’s parks, which will inform better long-term management of the tree stock.

One aspect of the survey was to highlight works that are needed for health and safety and as a result a full programme of works has been highlighted for the next 2 years, which was started in May 2011.

Completed works in 2011 include Brinton Park, Spennells, Kidderminster Cemetery and Bewdley Jubilee Gardens.

The works will continue in April 2012 and all works will be posted on this page prior to them commencing.

If you have any enquires regarding the tree works please contact Alvan Kingston, Arboricultural Officer on 01562 732548.
