Environmental Health

The Environmental Health and Licensing Section are predominantly concerned with protecting the public health of the residents and employees in the Wyre Forest District.

The work of the section falls into three main areas:

Food and Safety

The Food and Safety team deal with Food Safety Inspections, including complaints about food standards and hygiene as well as investigating food poisoning and outbreaks of other infectious diseases.

In conjunction with the Health and Safety Executive the team also ensure that employers and their employees comply with the Health and Safety Act 1974 and associated legislation

Pollution Control

The Pollution Control team carry out a number of pollution related services including noise nuisance and general pollution complaints, air quality, contaminated land and water sampling.

Licensing

The Licensing team are responsible for the processing and issue of a variety of licences including personal and premises licences for the sale of liquor under the Licensing Act 2003; and taxi licences.
