Introduction
There are 17 Conservation Areas in the Wyre Forest district. One
is predominantly within Bewdley town centre, four are within
Stourport-on-Severn, four are located in Kidderminster, seven
are based on settlements within the rural areas and the other is
the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal which runs through urban
and rural areas, including parts of Kidderminster and
Stourport-on-Severn town centres. Brief descriptions of the
Conservation Areas can be found below.
The 17 Conservation Areas are as follows:
The District Council is dedicated to reviewing the Conservation
Areas and producing Character Appraisals for them in line with
Government guidance. Character Appraisals are a statement,
assessing and defining the special nature of the area. Where a
Conservation Area Appraisal has been produced it can be viewed at
the end of each of the relevant Conservation Area
descriptions.
