More Experts Join the Panel for Wyre Forest's Question Time Debate

Wyre Forest District Council is encouraging residents to get involved and share their views on the regeneration of the area at a Question Time style debate on Wednesday 7th March. It is being held at Kidderminster Town Hall at 6.30pm.

Tony Bray, Area Director BIS West Midlands and Lindsey Richards Head of Place Making at the HCA (Homes & Communities Agency) are the latest experts on board to attend the event.

The Chief Executive of Hereford and Worcester Chamber of Commerce, the Principal of Kidderminster College and the Leader of Wyre Forest District Council are also confirmed on a panel of experts taking part in a public discussion on the key issues facing the local economy. Kidderminster Shuttle Editor, Clive Joyce will Chair the Panel.

Leader of the Council, John Campion said,

“There is a wide variety of topics up for debate and the time is right to vigorously explore them. We are pleased to have Mike Ashton, the Chief Executive of Hereford and Worcester Chamber of Commerce and Andy Dobson, Principal of Kidderminster College on the panel to add some local knowledge. We’re also particularly pleased to have Tony Bray and Lindsey Richards on board to give us a regional and national context from the government agencies they represent.”

The wide range of panellists will set the scene for a broad spectrum of opinions from all sectors. We are looking forward to a lively and productive debate and we hope residents of all ages and backgrounds get involved on the evening and through our Facebook page and Twitter. “

Topics such as skills, connectivity, centres and business growth will be up for debate along with other questions on the recovery of the local economy to be put forward by residents.

All the ideas will be considered for a State of the Area Debate to be held in March.  The debate is the decision making part of the process and will help the Council and its partners prioritise its actions to deliver some real help to support the continued local economic recovery.
