Cleaning Contract up for Grabs
Cleaning companies can now express an interest
in bidding for Wyre Forest District Council’s cleaning services.
The contract would cover all the Council’s buildings including the
new HQ at Finepoint due to open in the summer, Kidderminster Town
Hall, Customer Service Hubs in Kidderminster and Bewdley, Green St
premises, the Guildhall building and Bewdley Museum.
The cleaning services contract period would be
for 5 years from this summer with option to extend for a further 5
one year periods.
Councillor Julian Phillips Wyre Forest
District Council’s Cabinet Member for Place Shaping said,
“This is an excellent opportunity to become a
significant service provider to the council. We will be
looking for a company to provide reliable cleaning services across
all of our buildings. Quality and flexibility are important
attributes and we want to appoint an ethical company which
considers environmental issues.
“We are raising awareness of
this contract as part of our efforts to ensure small
and medium enterprises and other businesses have the opportunity to
compete. We want our buildings to have the maximum benefit for
local companies and residents in terms of jobs, training
opportunities and supply contracts”
