Council offers free Christmas and New Year parking

As we approach the Christmas and New Year holiday period, Wyre Forest District Council has once again decided to offer free parking after 4pm in Council owned car parks.  This is in order to encourage shoppers to visit Kidderminster, Stourport and Bewdley to carry out their shopping.

Wyre Forest District Councillor, Marcus Hart, Cabinet Member for Environmental Services said,

"We have some wonderful independent and well known high street shops in our district to meet all our residents' and visitors' Christmas and New Year shopping needs. We want to encourage people to spend locally and support our local traders. I'm pleased once again that the Council can help by making our car parking free later in the day to make it more affordable for people to visit the three towns and enjoy what they have to offer."

Wyre Forest District Council is providing free parking every day on all of its car parks after 4pm from Saturday 26th November 2011 until Monday 2nd January 2012 (Inclusive).  Normal charges apply each day before 4pm.  Further details can be obtained from the car park tariff boards/pay & display machines.
