Fun at the Farm in Brinton Park
Pigs, sheep, horses, donkeys and chickens are among the animals
that will be on show in Brinton Park on Thursday 30th
June. The animals are visiting for Wyre Forest District
Council’s annual Under Fives Fun Day.
This year the theme is ‘A Day at the Farm’ and
youngsters can meet farm animals and smaller petting
animals.
The free event is organised by Wyre Forest
District Council. It runs from 11am-3pm and as well as the
animals there are lots of other activities for the children to join
in. This includes arts and crafts activities, Samba drumming,
cheer leading, sing a-longs and animal mask making.
There will be local organisations promoting services for Under
Fives including Children’s Centres and the Big Red Bus, which has a
ball pit.
There are also activities that carry a small
charge. These include donkey rides, mini trampolines,
childrens rides, face painting. Refreshments will be on sale
or visitors can bring their own picnic to enjoy in the surroundings
of Brinton Park.
Councillor Tracey Onslow, Wyre Forest District
Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Well-being said,
“As well as being great fun, the Under 5s
event also offers parents and children the chance to
enjoy Brinton Park, which promises to make a great setting for
our ‘Day at the Farm’. In addition, local organisations
that provide activities for Under 5s throughout the Wyre
Forest will also be at the event. So,
while parents find out what activities are on offer,
their children can have fun trying them out. ”
Please note parking is limited, and visitors
are asked to walk to the event if able.
