Get involved with a subway makeover!
A group of the country's top street artists are giving a
Kidderminster underpass a makeover. Subway Deluxe returns to
Kidderminster in February half term to transform the walls of the
Comberton Hill subway. The team has worked their magic on the
town’s other subways and this time local young people will be able
to get involved. If you are over 16 years of age, you can
participate in a workshop with Subway Deluxe’s Ian Boyd Walker and
Miss C on the 24th and 25th February. The
venue is The Boars Head on Worcester Street between 11.00am and
3.00pm. Bring a packed lunch. You will be helping to create
designs, learning to make stencils and spraying techniques and you
will have a chance to make your mark on the new look subway.
Councillor Tracey Onslow, Wyre Forest District
Council’s Cabinet Member for Community & Partnership Services
said
“This is a great opportunity for young local
artists to show off their skills and get involved with a nationally
recognised group of street artists. We encourage people to get
involved and make their artistic mark on the town which will be
visible for a long time to come.”
