Have your say on new ways to pay
Residents using the Worcestershire Hub centres
at Kidderminster, Stourport-on-Severn and Bewdley are being asked
for their views on their preferred ways to pay for local
services.
Wyre Forest District Council is currently
reviewing payment methods for services such as Council Tax,
planning fees, and parking fines. From April 2011, self serve
payment kiosks accepting cash and card payments are being installed
at the Hub in Kidderminster.
Councillor Tracey Onslow, Wyre Forest District Council’s Cabinet
Member for Community & Partnership Services said,
“The Council is currently reviewing accepting
cheques as a method of payment from August 2011 and would value
your views on this and your preferred alternative payment methods.
This is all part of our drive to make services more efficient and
cost effective for everyone concerned.
Questions being asked include how often people
use cheques to make a payment to Wyre Forest District Council, and
what their preferred payment alternatives would be.
These include direct debit, telephone payments
by credit card, and online payments.
A questionnaire can be completed at any of the
Hubs or online.
The closing date for feedback is Wednesday 23rd February
2011.
