Make it a Fab Feb this half-term holiday
If you're aged 11 to 19 it's set to be a Fab Feb for you! Wyre
Forest District Council in partnership with the Youth Service has
secured funding from Wyre Forest Community Safety Partnership to
organise loads of free activities for you and your friends
including free swimming, luge racing, football, dodgeball, dance
and trampolining. The Fab Feb week will conclude with a party at
Kidderminster Youth House on the Friday evening with food, music, a
bucking bronco, and a bouncy castle!
There's also the chance to win a trip to the Snowdome in
Tamworth for an evening of fun on the toboggan slopes with a
friend.
Helen Dyke, Chair of Wyre Forest Community Safety Partnership
said,
"The Fab Feb activities are a great way for friends to get
together and have some fun. Research shows that anti-social
behaviour can be averted by providing fun and entertaining
activities for young people. We've been proactive in organising
these events and hope there will be a good take up from young
people in the district."
Throughout the week, free transport will be available to most
activities. A member of either WFDC or Youth Service staff will be
on the coach to and from activities and any safety equipment
required for the activities will be provided free of charge.
Some activities have restricted numbers so places will be
offered on a first come, first served basis. Bookings can be made
by either telephoning 01562 732917 or 01562 732970
between 9.00am – 4.00 pm or email Penny
