Town Hall is new wedding venue

Couples planning their wedding can now get married at Kidderminster Town Hall.  It is a chance to tie the knot where famous faces from Winston Churchill to the Rolling Stones have appeared.

Built in the 1855 this historic building is the latest venue in Worcestershire to obtain a wedding licence.  There are two rooms where wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships can take place, making it a perfect venue for any size of wedding.  Small ceremonies can be celebrated in the King Charles Room.  This features medieval oak panelling and period furnishing.  Larger ceremonies with up to 450 guests can be enjoyed in the Victorian Music Room.  This has a wealth of fine architectural features and has the William Hill Organ as an impressive back drop.

Councillor Anne Hingley, Wyre Forest District Council's Cabinet Member for Legal and Corporate Services said, weddings at town hall

"We are delighted that the Town Hall has been given a wedding licence.  It has always been a first class location for wedding receptions, now couples can get married there too.  It's a grand venue and offers something very special for couples on their special day."

At Kidderminster Town Hall couples will be able to enjoy the flexibility of planning their wedding their way.

Matt Smith, Manager at the Town Hall said,

"The team is on hand to help with arrangements to suit all budgets.   At the Town Hall it will very much be your wedding, your way.  We have flexibility with rooms and catering arrangements ensuring couples and their guests have a truly wonderful day."
