Car parking charges on the agenda
At a meeting of Wyre Forest District Council's Cabinet on
Tuesday 21st September, Wyre Forest District Council's
Cabinet will be considering a report from the Director of Planning
& Regulatory Services which asks the Cabinet to agree changes
to car parking arrangements in Wyre Forest district.
One amendment to the original proposals is that a charge of
£4.10 is be made for a stay of over two hours at Vale Road,
Stourport-on-Severn instead of the £5.20 originally proposed. This
change has been proposed following consultations with councillors
on Stourport Town Council. This makes the charge consistent with
car parks in that area of the town.
Councillor Marcus Hart Cabinet Member for Housing &
Environmental Services at Wyre Forest District Council said,
"The Council has consulted with residents, Parish and Town
Councils on the proposed changes to car parking arrangements across
the district. Cabinet will be considering all the consultation
responses on the meeting on 21st September and any changes will
come into effect on 1st October 2010.
"We've had over 100 responses from members of the public which
reflects the importance of this issue to residents."
Date of issue - 15th September 2010
