Energy experts Act On Energy will be on hand to offer free and
impartial advice on all matters energy related at a free Energy
Advice Surgery at the Kidderminster Hub on Thursday 4th
November, 10am-1pm.
Advisors will be able to help with a range of energy issues such
as information on making your home more energy efficient, impartial
advice on your gas and electricity bills, advice on heating
systems, information about grants for insulation and boilers,
renewable energy technologies.
Surgeries will also be held on the first Thursday of the month -
2nd December 2010. Then, 6th January, 3rd February, 3rd March, 7th
April, 5th May, 2nd June 2011.
Councillor Marcus Hart, Wyre Forest District Council's Cabinet
Member for Housing and Environmental Services, said,
"In a typical British home, one third of the
heat produced by central heating systems is lost through the roof,
walls and windows. This means that, in a poorly insulated home, £1
out of every £3 spent is wasted. These free advice sessions offer
people the chance to find out about ways to cut their energy bills,
such as through grants and subsidised insulation available to all
and by making sure they're on the best tariff."
Residents wishing to attend an energy advice surgery can either
drop in on the day or book an appointment. Call Act on Energy on
0800 988 2881 to book, or for free advice on energy issues.
Date of issue - 27th October 2010
