Reds, Golds and Stretch Hummers at the Town Hall
Kidderminster Town Hall was the backdrop for traditional wedding
costumes, family rejoicing and stretch limousines at the wedding of
Ahsana and Shaher. The bride is the sister of County Councillor
Mumshad Ahmed. The event, the third Asian wedding to be held at
Kidderminster Town Hall in two weeks, was attended by 800
guests.
Guests of honour included the leaders of the Bangladeshi
community, the Mayor of Kidderminster Councillor Jeffery Baker and
Deputy Mayor Councillor Anne Hingley as well as the groom's family
and friends from Sunderland.
The bride looked stunning as she emerged from her limousine
wearing a gold coloured sari which glistened in the autumn
sunshine. She was escorted into the Town Hall by Councillor
Ahmed.
Councillor Anne Hingley said,
"Today has been a truly splendid day. I am not surprised that
Councillor Ahmed chose the Town Hall for his family's celebration.
It is a beautiful venue which has recently gained a licence for
weddings and civil partnerships. I wish this couple a long and
happy life together."
The Town Hall offers flexible wedding packages to suit all
budgets. For more information telephone 01562 732158.
